Had a great band with me that night
Tim Shean on Guitar, Billy Rameriz on drums, and David Walker on keys
Later on, Hall of Fame Songwriter Jerry Foster came up. We let the band hang out with the audience, and He and I sang some songs in a two person "Song Writer's Round" It was a blast.
Had a great time being called up to play a song with Jessie Lee and the band at Roberts Western World. Here's a watercolor version of the photo sent to me by one of the folks in the crowd, Thank you so much for sending the photo!

Nashville Palace. Guy went on right after Jim Ed Brown and Helen Cornelius had just lit up the stage. No pressure.
What a great crowd. Guy wished he could play all night!
The place was SRO. What a bill! Little Jimmy Dickens, Buddy Jewell, Tommy Cash, Mel Tillis, Ricky Skaggs...amazing.

It's always awesome when Guy gets to play on bills with his heroes and friends...and when the place is packed and so into it!

Playing my songs for folks is so strange....THEY applaud...while I am the one getting the bliss...
That ring came from a Pawn Shop in Memphis...one of the ose Elvis Rings...TCB in a flash.
Bev Moser came out that night at the Listening Room and took pictures, and gave them to me....I'm not sure if I'm laughing, cryig, or just trying to find the chord.
Music.......like a cool creek....
...if you're there listening...it washes over you...and it does the same thing for those of us that play it....

I retired that guitar after that weekend of shows...had so many autographs on it, and I didn't want to see them all fade away...
Everyone I had played with over 5 yrs or so, Confederate Railroad, Dickey Betts, The CDB, Tucker Band, all had signed that guitar...Playing one last time at The Hard Rock in Tampa.
