You have an opportunity to be part of this memorable evening, and film, in person! I gave two talks recently to sold... out audiences during ToonFest, along with other fantastic cartoonists, and the response was tremendous. It was suggested we get the talks filmed for future audiences, so that is what we are doing.This is in Walt Disney's Home Town, and filmed at a theater Walt Disney personally used to preview some of his films and attend the viewings. A very historic theater, and one with great significance for me, a huge Walt Disney fan. Please attend! The town of Marceline will be all decked out in Christmas Glory! Jamie Jean of Train Productions is in charge of the filming. I will also be signing books, and cds before and after each show.

- The Prince William Public Library System Foundation invites you to its distinguished author and speaker series, "Cartoons, Comics & Animation," featuring author Guy Gilchrist on May 14 and 15. Gilchrist is an author, syndicated cartoonist, children's book illustrator, and musician. A winner of the National Cartoonist Society Magazine and Book Illustration Award, he is also a songwriter and recording artist.
On May 15, Gilchrist will be conducting two interactive lectures for children and adults at Chinn Park Regional Library. The first session will be held from 10:30 a.m. until noon, and is designed for elementary school-aged students. They will learn what it is like to be a cartoonist, and then learn how to draw cartoons or other characters.13065 Chinn Park Drive

- The first Doodle Art auction and GALA will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Danville Country Club, 2718 Denmark Rd., in Danville, Illinois. I am really looking forward to this. This will be my first joint appearance with one of this country's most beloved celebrities.....and I mean, of course....RIN-TIN-TIN!!! I'll be doing a cartooning performance as well as meeting folks, drawing and entertaining.
The evening will include hors d’oeuvres, spirits and lively bidding. Artwork from over 50 Celebrities will be offered in a live and silent auction. I will be appearing with THE Rin Tin Tin, the offspring of the famous German Shepherd dog from the 1950’s & 60’s television series. He will be demonstrating some of his special talents throughout the evening’s events, and will appear at the Danville Public Library the morning of the event. I will be doing a performance at the library as well, and visiting the local children's hospital.
